Regearing is always the best performance mod. I would save your pennies and do that first.

I have 4.88's on my manual two door w/ 35's. Plenty of power. I can now pass vehicles on the highway in sixth gear. Once I put a pro-rock in the front of the jeep I will probably try 37's with the 4.88's.

need more info on your jeep - for Auto, if you do much freeway driving or tow and want to keep decent mpg, 4.88

If you trail mostly, 5.13

the chart for automatic IMO is not correct as the Jeep trans up to 2011 is not a true 4speed, it's a 3speed with OD. If you ever need to lock out OD calculate your RPMs for 3rd by dividing the RPM's in the chart by .69

I'm running 4.88's with 35's, 21mpg freeway, 16 town. climbs great can run 75-80 on long trips no problem

can still lock out OD for towing without hitting too high RPM. I'm going to try 37's (closer to stock ratios) to see how it performs.

I ilke to be able to make full use of the trans and also lock out OD as needed without hitting the high RPMs

Get a programmer/tuner to recal the 35's, and then gears.
