Relocation Mounts
Guys, iv searched on the forum couldnt find a thing, im trying to upgrade my system abit and got a few questions, appreciate the help.
1. I have been having some issues with my REAR shock absorbers (Stuff hitting and damaging them) and i wanna move them out of harms way, now i know there are some relocator kits out there but which do you think is the best option?
2. Also there are upper and lower relocation mounts and brackets, i have no idea which does what and which is the one i need for my rig.
3. Teraflex Rear Bumpstops, pros and cons, on whether or not to install them and if they would work with my current setup. http://www.quadratec.com/products/16197_110X_PG.htm
By the way im running a 3" teraflex lift and am about to install the Fox racing shocks. links below.

If you really need to move up the axle side mount, then I'd suggest looking at shocks with a shorter compressed length.
Another alternative would be to add skids to the existing shock mounts. I have the Fox shocks, and this is what I've done. If I was to do it again, I'd still use the skids, but I might go with the King shocks instead.

The problem will be the compressed length of your rear shocks. For example, this rear Fox shocks need at least a 2.75" bumpstop extension (3" would be better). If you use a shock relocation bracket to move up the axle side mount, then you'll have to increase your bumpstop height to avoid bottoming out the shock. So if you move the mount up 2", you should have a 5" bumpstop -- that's probably too much for most lifts.

The bumpstops will help in stopping the shocks from fully compressing i guess thats better than driving without. any comment?

I have Fox's on the way too. I'm going to get the Off Road Evolution rear control arm skids because they say they protect the rear shocks too. I wanted the Evo rear shock relocation mounts, but I was worried about bottoming the shocks out. I read that bump stops are a must, I have extended ones already, but when the wife is not looking I'm getting front then rear Evo air bumps because I like to go FAST!
If you use the Fox shocks, you need 2.75-3" bumpstop extensions. If you don't use any bumpstops, or bumpstops shorter than this, then you'll bottom-out the shocks and damage them.
If you relocate the bottom shock mount, by moving it up 2", then you need 4.75-5" bumpstop extensions. If you use shorter bumpstop extensions, you'll bottom out the shocks and damage them.
I don't think I can make it any clearer for you.
To make sure your bumpstops and brake lines are tall/long enough, you should put your Jeep on a lift, remove the coils, and stuff one side until the OEM rubber bumpstop is fully compressed. Make sure the shock isn't bottomed-out on that side, and the brake line is long enough on the other.
The Fox shocks are fairly long, so depending on the type of coils you have, you may need some coil retainers.
