Remote Reservoir Shocks
So are remote reservoir shocks worth the extra cost for someone who is road use with light off road use?
If so, would you pick the Bilstein 5160 or the Fox Racing Performance Series? Or another brand in the same or lesser price range?
Thanks for the advice.

Fox is the leader in high performance shocks you don't need them for light use. 5100 bilstien or equivalent would be a definite upgrade
My understanding is that remote reservoir's are only really needed if you're doing a lot of higher speed rough/choppy offroad driving. They run cooler and won't fade under consistant up and down at higher speeds.
IMO about 70 percent of the way your jk rides on road is dependent on your coils. If you have a stiffer rated coil, no matter what shock you put on, the on road ride will tend to be firm and or rougher depending on what the driver deems as rough. Kinda subjective. Softer coils tend to not hold weight aswell when loaded down, so there is a trade-off cause the stiffer rated will ride better and keep their height better when loaded down with heavy bumpers, added gear, etc.

O.P: Sounds like you don't need reservoir shocks the way you run your jeep, but you will like a premium regular shock a lot.
I've ran into a couple of hair-raising scenarios when traveling at moderate speeds on dirt roads that are washboarded....basically lose control briefly. I rode in a buddy's JK with the Fox remotes...and you didnt even know the road was dirt.
Would I get the same (or similar) performance from the 5100's?
