Default Removal of Rear Speaker Bar?

Hello All,

I am installing some Thule Rack "feet" on my JK this evening. I have already mounted the rear ones, and all went well. Tonight I will install the forward mounts, just aft of the removable top pieces. Any available instructions if it is more complicated than that?

In order to do this, it appears that I will need to remove the speaker bar. Is there anything I need to know other than simply unbolting it? I'll try just removing the speakers first, as that might give me sufficient access.

Thanks.

DG

I had to remove the speaker bar to install my rock hard cage. You just undo 4 bolts on the roll bars that are above the rear doors (2 bolts each side) then 2 bolts along the B-pillar (above driver/passenger head). There's also a couple of those christmas tree fasteners on the b-pillar as well (I think) but a good tug will knock them loose.

Also, on the passenger side is the connector for the speakers and dome light. There is some slack but not a lot. You will be able to lower the soundbar to access the connector. If you try to grab it and run with it, you will rip the connector out.
