Default Removed the "star"

I pulled the stars off of my KMCs... But my hubs are this nice rust color you see here... Any idea if black spray paint will damage them? Or should i just replace the stars?

Take off the wheel and spray the hub with high temp black paint. That will take care of the rust issues.

Well one reason I'm doing this is because I broke the one on my spare
annnd I saw where someone else did this and I liked it...

I don't like how the stars are "pushed out" either. Someone told me I just needed shorter screws but that's not the case. I will have to do some fabrications as well as shorter screws after I order the new center cap- if I do.

Thanks for the paint suggestion though, I wasn't sure if I would damage anything spraying them.

Hm. I just put an orange project jk sticker on my jeep. Trying to figure out some orange accents.... What about the little "bolt heads" does anyone know if they come off? If so... I may do the star and those little false heads if they're easily removable.
