Removing 2012 Rear Interior Trim
I'm in the middle of installing the new Or-Fab tire carrier on my 2012 Rubicon 2-door and realized that the instructions are all for 2007-2010 interiors. The 2011-2012 models have all new plastic in the rear that I can't figure out how to get out. I removed the rear tie-down hooks and started pulling on the driver's side piece but only got it half way before it started to "feel" like something was going to break.
Has anyone taken a 2011 or 2012 rear JK apart? Including the read sub enclosure? Pics or diagrams would be appreciated.

I've done the passenger side with the sub. Remove the bolts retaining the tie downs on the floor. Next you'll need to pop off the casing covering the rear seat belt mechanism. Under the shroud you'll see a nut that needs to be removed. Pop up the whole subwoofer assembly and disconnect the wiring harness and you're good to go. Good luck.
What do you mean by pop off the seat belt mechanism? In mine, it looks like two parts of plastic join to encircle the seatbelt and the rollbar? Are you saying just pull those apart? Do you use a screwdriver of something? I tried this and felt like I was breaking it.

It's been a couple months since I took mine apart but, here's what I remember:
Remove all the cargo area bolts. Then there's the little piece that the seatbelt goes through (that holds the panels together), use a flat blade screwdriver to pop that up, you can then take the little panel nearest to the outside of the Jeep off, then you'll see the hidden nut that holds the bigger inside panel in place. When I first took a side apart, I didn't know about the hidden nut, it took A LOT of plastic cement to put the panel back together, LOL!
