Default Removing the O2 Sensor from stock intake

am in the process of installing my Airaid CAI..What is a good way of removing the O2 sensor without destroying the original air tube just in case I want to put it back in the future.

Unplug the connector,
Remove the stock intake from the Jeep, take it inside.

Patience. That is your friend here.

Make sure the tube is warm, so the rubber is as flexible as possible, I then used just a little wd-40 to slicken it up, and SLOWLY worked a small (maybe around 3/32 dia or so) rounded end metal rod in next to it, to use to spin around it to pull the rubber out of the small ring it grips into. I went slowly, it took me probably 15-20 minutes of fiddling to get it out of there, but it did come out undamaged.

It wasn't a dumb post at all. It was correct. It's an air temp sensor.

True, but he said without destroying it. Cutting it of course is the easiest way, but I didnt want to cut mine either, as i may want to put it back, or sell it. So leaving it intact was my choice.

Just a side note....there is a product FAR superior to WD40 called PBlaster. It works so good, I can't tell you about it. It's not advertised as well as WD40, but it WORKS. The hair dryer idea is a great idea, too.
