Removing Teraflex front bumpstop extensions
I'm thinking about adding some Teraflex 3" front coils and removing the front Teraflex 2.5" spacers. The only thing holding me back is thinking about how hard it was to get those bumpstop extensions installed. I had to press fit these with a jack! They have to be removed in order to get the spacers out.
If anyone can share their experience in how they removed these, I would sure appreciate it. Were you able to bend the small tabs that hold the stops in?

I remember reading that somebody sprayed it with windex(yes the glass cleaner) then used the factory coil to "pull" them out. From their description, it sounds like they tilted the coil and used it to grip the bumpstop. Let me know how you make out, because I was thinkin about doing the same thing! I have the 3" coil in my cart from northridge right now
For removing the bumpstops I lubed them with WD-40 and used a pry bar against the coil tower and the lip of the bumpstop. While pulling one side of the bumpstop down a friend used another pry bar against the coil tower and pull on the bumpstop's lip from the oposite side of the same bumpstop. That removed it without damaging anything, and it didn't take too much force. The only downside is that you need two people.
I accidently installed bumpstop first while installing my lift... talk about a time costly mistake!
here's what i did... get a screw driver and hammer it up in between the two bumpstops then push up on the screw driver prying it out. i could only pry about half way then i used the ole boot to kick it the rest of the way out!
once i figured out a good way to get it out this only took about 5 minutes.
