Repercussions with coil spacers?
I'm running a black diamond 3" lift, and my 36s were rubbing my fenders...so I cut my fenders.
Then my fenders got revenge by cutting my KM2s.
So I installed bushwackers.
This past weekend I cracked 2 of them.
I am considering installing 1.75" coil spacers.
Will my shocks still work with these?
Will it mess up any of my other angles...steering, driveshaft, etc?
Also, how much do new bumpers lower the vehicle?
Help anyone?
UPDATE: Ive installed the LOD rear, and plan on a new front down the way....my rear lowered considerably from the weight.
I have a set of 1" spacers, and a set of 1.75" spacers.....im not trying to jack it way up, just go bck to where it was....without the rubbing.
WHAT DO I DO???

Add a body lift and problem is solved
as mentioned, unless you get new longer shocks, what you have now will become a big limiting factor. also, if you don't have after market drive shafts now, you will need a set with that much lift. other things you will need to take into consideration are adjustable control arms if you don't have them already, longer sway bar links, adjustable track bars, front track bar relocation bracket, dropped pitman arm and longer brakelines. depending on what all you have and what you can afford, you might be better off installing a body lift.
Curious about that as well We have the 3" Black Diamond with 35's and will be putting on a new rear bumper/tire carrier and front bumper this month. Chopping the fenders are in the works also. Waiting to see what happens with the extra weight and may have to go the lift route to even it out. Getting the drive shafts replaced next week and have upper rear and lower front control arms ....hmmmm
For the sake of starting a similar post... Would I be able to add 1.75" coil spacers on top of my RC 2.5" coil lift with RC 2.2 shocks? I have a winch/bumper combo that dropping the front, but would that be too much of a spacer for my setup? I have 33's.

i have a 2.5" Teraflex BB and stuck another 1" spacer on top of the 2.5".. I have had no issues doing so. the jeep rides just like I want it to and I have no issues.. the fact that I didnt lengthen the shocks the additional 1" means my droop hasnt increased... which also means my driveshafts wont rub my tranny skid. Now, the jeep drooped a bit from my bumper winch combo, and the 1" spacer just brought it back to the 2.5"lift that I wanted.
The cheapest way you can stop the tires from rubbing is extended bump stops. of course that decreases your stuff.. heres mine flexing with extended bump stops, and not so long shocks..
(Im running 33's and have plenty of room for 35's or maybe even 37's)
