Default Replace fake plastic bolts on KMC Addict wheels???

I loved the Addicts until yesterday when I saw a close-up and realized the fake bolts around the wheels are plastic. I've found a ton of threads where people talk about tapping the holes and putting real bolts in there, but can't find anyone who has actually done it. Has anyone here done it? If so, do you have any pics?
I'd have no problem tapping the holes, but don't know what size the holes are, so I'm not sure what size bolt I'd have to use and how big the head of the bolt would be on the wheel.

Hmm, I'm wondering why people replace them. My XD Hoss wheels have faux bolts and they look the same as new after four winters on the salty roads.

They'd be replacing a non-functional bolt with a heavier non-functional bolt?

I wouldn't invest any money or time in the details of your wheels. Once you start wheeling it they will get trashed and rashed on the rocks anyways. My wheels are all gouged up and the center caps all cracked and busted.

Time and money isn't an issue, because it wouldn't really take that much time to tap the holes and buying real bolts to replace them wouldn't cost much at all. The added weight of extra bolts really isn't an issue to me either. After going with wider wheels and 35's, the added weight of the extra bolts isn't THAT much, especially if I went with aluminum fasteners.

I love the Addicts, but I have an unhealthy hatred for fake plastic bolts.

I have the same issue, i yanked all the plastic ones out. Just gonna leave it like that until spring, then i'll probably grab some nice stainless button heads or socket head cap screws and tap the holes and replace them. Just measure the hole, find a size thats close, tap, use some loctite and should be good

Let me know if you end up doing it. I'm really curious to see how it looks. I can't really imagine it looking bad, I mean ANYTHING has to be better than fake plastic bolts. I was thinking of running some polished allen screws, or even some polished 12 points would probably look good.
