Default To Replace the FRONT TRACK BAR and OTHER THINGS or not to REPLACE??

10' JK 2DR AUTO - Installing a BB 2 or 2 1/2" spacer lift.......Also changing shoocks......STRICTLY ONROAD VEHICLE, FOUR WHEEL ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. I want everything straight and centerd! Putting on 33" Tires

Simple questions, simple answers needed:

1. What is more important to replace with the above lift. A. Front track bar
B. Rear track bar
C. Sway bar links
D. all 3
E. You tell me, in what order of importance

2. Do I even need to replace any of those items?

3. Do I need to replace the pitman arm?

4. DO I need to replace any Control Arms and which ones?

5. Anything else I may need?

Sorry if I am blount, its just that half the answers I read in here, dont get answered the first time, if at all. People answer with everything they did to there truck and nothing related to the specific question that someone has. They ask a question about tires and they answer what kind of bumber they installed yesterday? lol

You don't need any of that if you don't off road.

With a kit as small as a 2.5 BB kit, you might want lower front adj. control arms so you can adjust the alignment.

Drop pitman? NO.
Replace all the control arms. NO
Rear Trackbar. NO.
Front Trackbar. NO

Sway bar links. TeraFlex kits come with new rear links, you reuse the rear links in the front.

to do it right, you should replace the track bar with an adjustable unit. 2 1/2 inches will make your axles off center and your steering wheel will need to be adjusted.

Not a must, but I would.

Sway bar links are less an issue. all just depends on how "correct" you want it.

I agree also with the need for track bar. I have Teraflex level kit and my front axle was off center almost an inch.. the Teraflex kit comes with new sway bar links so that's good if ur looking at that kit..
I need front lower Control arms. My caster is around 3.2-3.5... I am used to the way it drives, but it feels a lot different than stock height.. so u might want to think about them also.. either way u will be able to drive it fine and safely with just the kit..
Its up to u and ur wallet!! LOL.

So this is another "I Need a Definitive Answer to my vague question" thread.

There can't be a definitive answer because everyone has different opinions on what is 'needed' VS what is 'Wanted, but can be added later' VS what is 'Not Needed', and everyone has their own tolerance for non-stock handling and/or looks.

Install the lift and drive it!
-If you don't like the axles being off-center, or if it is causing some ESP issues, then add trackbar brackets or adjustables.
-If the handling is crappy (flighty/bumpsteer), then add a set of front adjustable control arms.
-Brake lines should be ok, but you can run to the hardware store and make some extension brackets for about $10.
-Short front swaybar links can cause issues when flexed. On-Road only, may not be an issue. (though there was a post from a guy that pretzeled his links while it was on the lift at the shop. Just something to be aware of)
-Bumpstops - On-Road only, not an issue. Off-road, flex it and check the tire/fender clearance and decide.

Drive it and decide what YOU need...
