Default Replaced E-disco on rubicon with Currie RJ Anti rock sway

couldn't be happier, question is this, how hard is it to un install the e-disco complete with wiring so it can be sold and re-installed in a non rubicon model?

We just did this too. "Cut the cord" so to speak and went with the Currie Antirock because I couldn't deal with the e-disco breaking again.

So unbolting it is easy, just remove the mounts that attach it to the frame (which in guessing you have already done if you have installed the Antirock.

As for the electronics, follow the wire bundle that comes from the connector that plugs into the e-disco motor. The wire bundle will intersect with a larger wire bundle that is near the passenger side tire. All we really did was chase them up until that intersection and then we cut the wires (I think there were 4) and made sure to wrap the ends with electrical tape.

Someone that wants to wire it to a non rubi JK will have to figure out what to do from there. A rubi owner just looking to replace theirs can just splice the wires together. Someone who buys it and wants to install one of those Evo knob kits won't use the electronics anyway.

Hope this made sense.

I did this a couple years ago, replaced with a Teraflex Dal Rate. Sold it off without the wiring to somone whose electro-fail bar had, of course, failed. I disabled the system with the Procal function and just zip tied the wiring & plug to the crossmember. AS mentioned above, you can simply chop off the harness and tape everyting back, too.

does anyone know if the super chips flashpaq can disable the sway bar? it just blinks and the code says its lost communication with the sway bar system. I clear the code but it doesnt stop the flashing light.

interested in the e-disco? i don't think it would be easy to ship so i'm looking local first but i'll let you know. I can get pics. the E disco is the cadillac of sway bars, solid on road, full flex off. the Currie is a compromise but i had to put one on the rear to clear my synergy brackets so I wanted symmetry

I emailed superchips with this exact question. Their $500+ Traildash unit will turn off the light but none of their other units will. BS in my opinion because the AEV procal does it. If enough people tell superchips that they want this function then maybe they will add it via Internet update. I might have to do the electrical tape mod haha and just cover up the flashing light. Or I will sell my flashcal and get a procal.
