Silly??? I think not! Silly is considering another wheel. There is no other beadlock Wheel that has proven itself like a Method for the value in price vers others.
I have many sets of Method wheels and the gold bolts drive me crazy! In the past Ive powder coated 2 sets one set held up awesome the other set did not do so well, Im assuming they were not prepped and sandblasted propeerly.
I just got a new set of Methods for my JK and I ordered a set of Zinc Black bolts from Champion Wheel. Ill see how they hold up. Ill post a pic later. Parts - Beadlock Bolts - Champion Wheel

Agreed! They are not very appealing. I love the rims, though. Methods look so good on Jeeps IMO. Send through photos once you have them! very curious to hear how those Zinc black bolts hold up.

Do you have any photos you can share, with the black painted bolts? Thanks in advance!

Default Found Bolts and got it done!

I have Method MR305 Matte Black/Machined Face NV rims that have a simulated beadlock. I searched all over the place to get new bolts as the original bolt heads rusted all up. Ultimately I found Monster Bolts (see pics) and they had many options once you know what you need. The thread is M8 x 1.25 in 8mm length. Most everyone's sites shortest length was 12mm but Monster Bolt had 10mm. I bought 100 stainless steel Button head bolts and 200 washers (each is 1mm thick) to make sure I could use them. I got them in 2 days with the free shipping and installed in a couple hours - used only 1 washer per bolt. Now I have stainless and don't need to worry about rust again! Solves a lot of concerns about the ugly, sticking out zinc bolts. Monster Bolts had lots of options for bolt heads so you can customize to what you'd like. Check out pics. Et

Looks good. Can you post some more close Ups?
You mentioned you only had to use one washer. How did that work if the thread is only 8mm deep? Is the 10mm bolt length the entire bolt or just the thread?
also, where the original zinc bolts yellow zinc or chrome zinc?

Default 2 more pics

See these two close up pics for look. As for the bolt length, I hand tightened into the rim and it went all the way in, so there was plenty of space thus the 10mm length works just fine. The washer makes for a cleaner look too, even though the rims are showing their use! The 10mm portion is length of thread without the head. Not sure about original zinc, mine were rusted zinc :-) Seriously, they looked galvanized with no hint of anything other than grey and rust. Et
