Default Reprogram AEV Procal for '14?

I ordered a Procal in March 2012 for my 2011 Sport. The last two letters of the part number are "AB" and the box says "2012 Ready." I am trading my 2011 in for a 2014 and was wondering if there was a way to update my old Procal to be compatible with a 2014? I know the newer modules now have "AG" at the end of their part number…

Thanks in advance!

Jadmt is correct.

I called AEV prior to purchasing a ProCal for my 2014.

The AEV tech told me that the ProCal I buy is for my Jeep once I use it.

So I think of it as its assigned to my Jeeps vin#.

This makes total sense from a marketing perspective.

If this were true, you wouldn't see so many ProCal's in the classifieds...

I have read so many stories of people buying used procals and them not working. I would never buy one that was not in a sealed package. If you have a procal for your appropriate year vehicle and it has been properly restored via the vehicle that it was previously married to then it should work but people don't properly restore the original vehicle to its original parameters and you are out of luck. They marry to a VIN number and will only work with that VIN unless restored so there is no way to use a procal on two vehicles at the same time.

Have you purchased one from the classifieds? if so are you now using a used ProCal?

I would be interested to know.....however for now I believe the AEV ProCal tech...not
the classifieds

I agree with Jadmt....one ProCal goes with one vin unless restored.

I'm pretty sure I've restored mine. I had the TPMS disabled and after following the instructions I've seen it light back up on the dash.

Sounds like I'd do better just to leave it with the Jeep when i trade it in though?
