Request for Advice on Rubicon Long Arm 2dr Installation
Anyone install a Rubicon Express 4.5 inch long arm kit on a 2 door?
I am having trouble with the driver's side rear arm mount. The brackets do not fit flush on the frame because of the bolt hole for the transfer case skid plate.
Am I supposed to grind down the skid plate mount? If so, how will I mount the skid plate?
Also, according to the Rubicon Express instructions, you need to remove the exhaust pipe mount that is attached to the frame where the inside plate goes. Do you fabricate a new mount or can you go without the exhaust mount?
How long did it take you to install the long arm kit?
Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have it on my 2 door.
If I recall, the instructions say you are to completely remove the transfer case skid plate. It is not reused. You will have to adapt an after market skid plate. If you want, you can try to adapt the stock skid, but you´re better off going with a proper skid plate.
With respect to the exhaust pipe mount, I just removed it. I eventually did a muffler relocation and it was not needed anyway.
Self instalation: 2 days
