reservoir shocks
I was always under the impression that the reservoirs were more for cooling the oil so they dont get soft and that unless you are doing a lot of high-speed wheeling, you don't really need it on a Jeep. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
True, reservoirs allow more oil capacity, which keeps the oil temp down. However, most shocks that have reservoirs are top end shocks that have had a lot more emphasis spent on getting the correct damping dialed in. Because of the better damping and because of better construction on the shock overall, they will in fact work much much better, ... at all speeds.

So you have to order them by extended length and collapsed. Not to hi-jack but what's the proper way to measure for this? I'm sure we'd all like to know. Anyone?
That's why TeraFlex has worked with ELKA/FOX to build shocks specifically for TeraFlex suspensions. Shocks of this nature are not just great for high/low speed off road but also the daily on road highway/commute ride is awesome.
Hey teraflex, I'm currently running skycrapper 3.5" springs since 08 and wanna upgrade to better springs and wanna ask do you guys have resavoir shocks and spring combos I could purchase? I don't need any draglinks or trac-bars since I have rockrawler ones. Do I need to purchase a entire lift kit or can I get these items separately?
