Resonator deleted
It's thought I'd share my resonator delete. Got two Vibrant 2.5" exhaust sleeve clamps (friggin love these things, pricey but worth it IMO), a 24" section of 2.5" exhaust pipe and used an exhaust pipe cutter loaner from the auto parts store. Cut the resonator out as close to the weld as possible, cut the new pipe to the same length as my cutout section and installed the new pipe with the seams butted and clamped. Turned out pretty clean I think.
Not stock. I put on the AFE 2.5" high tuck axle back about a week ago. I decided to delete the resonator because it smoothed out the exhaust pulses too much making it sound ricey. Doing this gave it more of that gurgling sound instead of a constant tone. No drone to speak of though at idle it has a really deep him that's noticeable, but goes away when you touch the gas pedal. Glad I did it. Also saved quite a bit of money since the axle back was cheaper and I got it for just over $250. You're looking at around $500 if you buy the full catback.
