Default Resonators

I have a dynomax muffler under my drivers seat and I like it but I want to quiet it down some. I have heard to use the flowmaster hushpower resonator. I've been thinking about putting a resonator where the muffler is now and then using my existing dynomax behind the rear axle. My question is this.... Has anyone used any other resonators other than hushpower? I've seen others much cheaper on eBay, but I'm not sure if they would be worth a shot. Another benefit I've seen is that some other brands are smaller compared to the flowmaster. Thanks

You could do this. Or you can use a long "glass pack" as well, like a Thrush or Cherry Bomb. Those will help scrub out more of the gasses. As you know with a 2 door space gets tight under there.

A "Vibrant Ultra Quiet" is my recommendation.

I added the Vibrant Ultra Quiet to my AFE cat back after the muffler and it worked great and still has a good health low tone.

Did you need to shield/relocate your EVAP?
That is always our concern.

Didnt realize you could squeeze both before the axle. I read somewhere that for a resonator to work best there should be some space between it and the muffler. How does this setup work for you? By the way, I have relocated my evap

I like the current configuration a lot. I have Ripp headers. I first tried the stock muffler and no resonator, it was pure crap and rice above 3500 rpms.

Next I added the resonator to stock muffler, this was tolerable. Finally I relocated the evaporative canister and added the small muffler with a turn down. With the turn down it was really loud and deep. After I installed the tailpipe all was good and it has a nice deep sound.

I like Dynomax mufflers. Eventually I will switch this muffler for a Dynomax model. I have the VT mufflers on my fox body Mustang and I really like them.
