Default riddler cover?

I dont really expect an answer but riddler is closed so i figured there is a slight chance someone will know. I bought two cover at two different times. both dana 44 covers. got one from northridge and the other form 4wdhardware. On the inside of the cover one say RD44 D1 the other RD44 D2. Anyone know if they are slightly different? They dont really look any different? Maybe one is a newer batch? Any info would be great. I dont want to pull my covers off hten one wont fit. Both the front and the rear take the same cover right?

Do they look the same? My bet is that the D2 has flat spot for the rubicon wiring holder.

Since Riddler part numbers are only the RD 44 portion I would assume the D1 and D2 are batch references.
They are the same front and rear provided your axles are D44 front and rear. I see your tag line says Rubicon so they should both be 44's
The covers are so simple to install. You'll fret over how much fliud, lol, but otheriise make sure to properly torque everything down to spec. I did my bolts at 28lbs after reading how many snapped when they tried to torque to 35 ft/lbs. I torqued the plugs to 20 I believe..but check that one.

The number represents the mold number the cover was cast from, mold #1 or mold #2 thats all
