I like the video but I dont think that's a true reflection of what would happen on the trail....that's just constant pressure not "blunt force trauma"

If someone pressed a baseball bat against your head or body it would hurt and applied 100lbs of pressure it would hurt.....now if they hit you with 100lbs of pressure that would DEFINITELY LEAVE A MARK!!!

Here is what I found on another forum doing my research on diff covers

I quote "thats Royal purple flowing out the bottom, all the bolts but 2 sheared off, and the bottom of the cover bent out of shape! "

This is what i did with mine.

if you end up buying these paint them any colour you wish. i would do 1 coat primer, 2 coats of engine paint, 1 clear coat for shine, or simply have them powdercoated and skip all that.

I have the poison spiders; they are the same except the “R” is a spider. I got top grade hardware with mine. I went with PS because the spider looked cooler. It’s been 6 months that poor spider is kind of beat to crap. But the cover is in great shape. Buy either one.

For those of you that painted, what kind of paint did you use? I used an engine enamel (Rustoleum Spray) and made the mistake of not letting the main cover color dry before applying the "R" color. I wanted my covers all black with the R being painted in orange but the engine enamel is oil based and requires several days to fully dry. I waited several hours and ended up with the color being almost red. No biggie but was curious what everyone else used.

The engine enamel came out awesome overall so I can't complain. And I got to test out the durability about a week after I put them on. Smahed the heck out of them during some rock crawling and they have barely a scratch. Beefy!!!

The Riddler covers are much thicker than the factory stamped sheet metal cover. I don't think the stock bolts are long enough to go through the Riddler cover and properly thread into the pumpkin.

Rest assured if the factory cover was hit like that the cover would have been pushed into the ring gear. Looks like the cover just paid for itself. IMHO
