Default Ride question on swaybar quick disconnects

The first time I've checked out the feel of a disconnected swaybar was in a newer Rubicon the other day. My buddy and I were out on a nasty potholed road in his new Jeep--we were out checking out a piece of property that went up for sale.

We were getting thrown around pretty good. It was a 2wd dirt road, but in bad shape, DEEP holes, lots of rain so hard to tell how deep they were. I suggested he check out the swaybar disconnect. So we stopped, he hit the button, after the light flashed, it stayed on and we were good to go.

WOW!!! From a roll in 1st gear, before swaybar disco we were getting violently thrown around.

After swaybar disco, the ride was more of a rolling feeling, the violence completely taken out of the equation. There was still lots of motion but it felt so much calmer and more controlled.

So.....is that what it's supposed to feel like? Was I smoking crack, or does it help with articulation THAT much that the axle can pretty much float under the body?

If yes, will buying a set of quick-disco links do the same for my 2-door JK?

Are there any that are better than others, that provide for a better ride?

I've got a 2.5" suspension lift on my JK...will these screw up the front driveshaft if I articulate too much?

Disconnecting helps a TON for ride and traction (keeps all 4 tires weight on the ground more). For your sport, you can also do what I do and use 2.5"x7/16" Clevis pin and make your own discos for $5

Replaces bottom bolt and then use a strap or zip ties to hold everything out of the way when you disco. Been running this over a year.

Lowes like $2 each. They're in the pull out drawers in hardware.
