Default Rim Size

Hey everybody.

Just got my first jeep last month, and cant wait to start modifying it. My jeep is the 4 door Sahara. It came stock with 18" rims with 32" tires.

Does anyone know what the smallest size rim I can fit without any problems. What I would really like to do is find someone who doesnt need there stock Rubicon rim/tire combo. Thats prob gonna be cheaper than buying new rims and new tires from a tire center, and much cheaper than putting some good rubber on the 18's I have now.

Thanks for the help!

Great site!

Do you think I could even fit 15's? My brakes are pretty big.

you should be able to... i know a few folks here are running 15's. 16" is fine for me... good balance of wheel and sidewall

just dont run 12" with super wide tires and spacers so that you sit 4" off the ground and your wheels take up both lanes...

OK Great. What I would like to do is a 16" rim with 32/33 12.50's.

Ill prob go with the BFG Mud Terrains. I have had real good luck with them on my truck on the trail, and pretty good wear on the road. But I know they only make the size I want for certain rim sizes so who knows what I'll end up with.

Thanks

I took a gamble and bought 15" Pro-Comp 8179s, and so far, so good. I haven't experienced any rubbing what-so-ever, and bolted up nicely. Tires are 33x12.50 BFG A/Ts.
