Hat is the widest tire that will fit on a 16x8 rim

I'd counter with cap. Possibly sock. Socks can stretch quite a bit.

You will be fine with a 12.50in tire.

I have 12.5s on my 6inch wide stock wheels on my 2004 2500hd.....

To be honest with you. I probably wouldn't go wider than a 13.50in tire on a JK. But that's just me..
