Default Rim and tire question.

Whats up guys, Im new to the jeep family and I recently purchased a 2012 JKU Sahara. I am looking to change the stock wheels but need some help. I would like to go with a 18X9 W/ 5" backspacing. Is this possible or would I rub? Not sure what tire size I would run, any recommendations? The rim I am looking at is a XD Series Rockstar.

Depends. What size tire are you going to run? If larger than stock you will rub get a back spacing of 4.5 or more i.e a lower number.

You do not want to get the cheap spacers. You want to get the ones that are 1.25 or 1.5". The Rough Country and Spidertrax spacers have studs pressed in that you then put your lug nuts onto.

If you are buying new wheels... I would not want to buy spacers also... It would almost be like buying 2 sets of wheels...

at stock height I would go with 33's. do you want a offroad tire? if you do offroad I would get either the Goodyear MTR/k or the bf Goodrich KM2's. I prefer the MTR's and will be ordering those soon. if you don't offroad much get the Goodyear duratracs. I have not heard a bad thing about these.
