Default rim width

Ok, it looks like I wont get the tires and lift I want till the end of summer. I do however have a spare set of 31's, and the cash to pick up a set of rims. So the question is, will I have any problems mounting a 31x10.50 tire on a 10inch wide rim.

The manufacterur recommends a 8 or 9 inch rim. but I will only be running these tires till august?

I dont want to sell the 31's since I bought them retail, and I am asking to much for them, plus they only have 8k mi on em. I am just curious if it can be mounted on that size rim.

The time on the tires isnt the question, its safety. I mean i wouldn't run like that. The tire is only a 1/2 inch wider that the rim. People are telling me that running 12.5 on a 10 inch rim is risky and not needed.

Just get rid of the 31's...you do not want them.
