Default Rims

I just became a jeep owner last month. I have a '11 2 door rubicon. I want to keep my stock mud tires but want different rims. But I'm clueless as to how to tell which rims will fit my tires?? I have BF Goodrich mud terrain tires. LT255/75R17 is whats on the tire. Any idea??

Stock rims have a 6.25" backspace. You can go with that, but you will be better off going with less to push the tires out a bit more. A 4.5 BS is fairly popular.

The JK uses a 5x5 bolt pattern.

The stock rims are narrow. Again, you can go with the same width but would be better off going wider. An 8" width is fairly popular.

So, for the stock tires, my opinion would be a 17x8 with a 4.5 BS and a 5x5 bolt pattern.

If you plan on upgrading to a wider and larger tire in the future you may want to think about a 4.5 - 4.75 backspacing and a 8.5 to 9 inch wide rim. You might also want to think about rim diameter, 17" or 18".
