Default RIPP SC CA SMOG test

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone had any issues with their JK with the RIPP Gen 2 + Air-to-Air intercooler passing the CA smog check/test.

Hey man,

I am in the middle of the sales process with a buyer now and his lender / credit union is requiring a smog certificate which is apparently required per the DMV... I think it should be fine, but was hoping someone on here might have done it and could provide some insight before I go do it...

Did ripp supply you with a carb sticker or certification number? I'd google that info.

It will not pass the visual. It should pass the sniffer unless you have other problems. RIPP is currently working on getting CARB approval but I still think it is a little ways out. Last time I heard they were looking for a test jeep in Southern California that CARB could run their tests on.

If you still have the stock air cleaner assembly, you can pull the supercharger. Leave everything else, including the programing and you will pass. Put the supercharger back on after.

We were able to secure a stock 2010 JKU and it has had a Gen 2 Stage 2 installed and has begun the battery of tests needed for CARB #. We do not know how long the process will take. The estimate is 4 weeks at this point. You can always call us to find out how far along we are.

I don't believe so, but going to look into it.

I called RIPP support to discuss and this is what they suggested as well. Thanks again,
