RIPP Supercharger
I've searched the forum on the multiple s/c threads and still have a few unanswered questions for those that have experience with them, or the RIPP rep himself.
I have a 2011 Rubicon due in next week.
-How many break-in miles are a minimum before Gen2 installation?
-How many dyno-tunes are done vs. standard program from RIPP?
-Those that have a Gen2, how is "driveability"...ie..idle, hassle-free, code-free, smooth miles?
-Can a Jeep dealership see evidence of the ECM reprogramming if you put it back to stock and remove s/c for service?
Thanks a ton for any input or opinions!

hi.. congrats .. i have the rip gen 1 supercharger.. i love it . as far as the dealer goes.. my dealer actually installs ripp superchargers so they are fine with it. mine drives great.. and from what it sounds like the new gen 2 kit is even better
they are great with answering questions if you send them a email .. great customer service.
I have a gen 1 that has been upgraded with gen2 injectors and electronics. I enjoyed it before the upgrade but it is much smoother since and I love the fact that there is no more "sync up" time between the piggy back and jeep computers. Very driveable and mine is a daily driver. Blockrockin is fortunate to find a dealer that installs and does not void the warranty with it but I decided to live with this outcome. Of course mine was installed at about 30k. You might want to but I would not want to uninstall it just to take it back to the dealer. The programming appears to be absolutely necessary to drive it with the new MAP sensor and injectors so you would have to remove them as well as the blower. So far I love mine and the power gain. I am going to drive it for a little while prior to but I might add the intercooler.

There are many who've installed it right out of the dealer - infct installed at the dealer - our in shop rigs went on after 1500 miles...

The first wave of ripp tuning (1.0) was a rougher base tune, based on the input from clients (end users) we were able to build RIPP 2.0 and 2.0 so ar has net needed to go to a DYNO (but we play it safe and say you should factor it in). As of right now its a 20% you might have to and an 80% you'll like it out of the box.

So far we have 3 reported codes that we are working on, they are rouge and we should have them worked out soon. (thats out of 40 tunes just delivered)

No - and if you remove the whole kit - and your installer is neat, they wouldn't know it was supercharged...
Questions welcome

I am definitly looking at the kit now as well. Thanks for sharing.
I am wondering if I can run w/o the intercooler for the time being since is isn't very warm over here on the northwest coast.
