Default RIPP supercharger question

Last week i got my Procal and reset my tire size for 33" (31.5" for procal purposes) Then I reset my gears to 4:10. Now I get the dreaded red lightning bolt every so often from a dead stop and medium to hard acceleration. Any Help? I will call Ripp in the am, but it is bothering me now!!!! I am thinking that I should have not reset the gear ratio after calibrating for my tire size. Rubicon = 4:10 gears, right?

You had no need to reset your gear ratio as the factory computer was already calibrated for 4.10 gears if its a rubicon. You only need to use the procal to change setting for stuff you have actually changed on the vehicle. Use the reset feature on the procal and drive around for awhile, and see if that fixes your problems. If it does then only use the procal to change paramiters that need changing. There is an old saying....."Just cause you can do something doesn't mean you should".

Definitely set it back to stock. Then only change the tire size if you've gone bigger than what your Rubi came with. Hopefully that should get you squared away.

I am seriously looking at the RIPP supercharger from 2007 JK Sahara but would like to talk to someone who had theirs installed for some time. My concern is reliability and does it truly make a difference in acceleration, 0-60 times, etc...surely with the posted increase of 100 whp it should feel like a new motor. I am just looking for some re-assurance more than anything. 5k is a lot of dough to part with for sure.

The kits are currently priced bellow 5k, but well worth that price.
we have seen JK's pull power numbers of 140hp to 160hp , After adding wheels and tires and other heavy off-road mods they feel even weaker,
Adding a 100hp kick to a modded off road rig really brings it to life!
Reliability is very important to RIPP and we spared no expense, this kit is intended to get used and beat-up on, and keep on kicking... forever.

PM' me for some more info,... maybe some pricing

That is great did you opt for the intercooler option on it or just running the supercharger by itself ? I have stock 18 inch rims/tires 4.10 rear axle..6 speed manual, borla dual exhaust, ... I don't off road at all other than in the snow in the winter sometimes, I am just a jeep guy, 3rd one, love my JK Sahara.

Couple of other questions: did you have it professionally installed?

Is the interior noise from the supercharger notably different?

How quick do you feel the boost with the manual transmission?

hmmmm... i got the water to air intercooler option, i did the install myself, with a few emails to ripp tech, the sound is amazing... the boost biulds up as the rpm band get higher, so max boost is achieved at max rpm... so i think its like 8psi at 5000rpm, but you can feel it building from 2000rpm

SLeepY_BoY, thanks for your input really appreciate it. Anyone else out there have the Ripp Supercharger installed in a 2007 or newer 3.8 litre Jeep? I would love to hear from more folks that have installed this awesome product and learn from their experience or hear what kind of difference it has made.
