So if the actual lift on the 2.5" is 3.5" are you all expecting to have to replace drive shafts? My understanding was anything over 3" on a 2 door was the cutoff for keeping stock.

I myself am not replacing drive shaft, I'm got a 2.5 spacer on front and rear now and not having issue, I figured going a bit Higher would be ok. It is my DD but I don't go on any trails or climb, I'm mostly mud because I'm a hunter so I use my jeep for the mud roads to get to my deer stand. And also upgraded for better ride quality.

If im only on a 2.5 lift kit with stock fenders, is it better to go with 33" tires or the 35" ?

33s would give you more articulation. If you go with 35s, you'll either need to cut your fenders or install bump stops.

Then again, if you're wheeling is fairly light, you could be just fine.

So if I'm running. 35s with 2.5" lift and cut fenders, do I need bumpstops?

You're probably going to want bumpstops no matter what tires you have or you'll bottom out your shocks. Much more important than your tires hitting your fenders, IMO.
