Default RK 2.5 max travel post install rub

So I finally got my Lift kit installed along with bilstein 5100s, and bump stops on 13JKUR auto 3.73. Overall it took a friend and I a whopping 7 hours, done at the base body shop. After install noticed some rubbing of the front Rt tire on lower control arm. Noticed this about the time I got home when I was parking. We adjusted front steering after install and alignment felt fine going home. A day after install, noticed mild alignment problems, car pulling to the right. BTW running stock tires for now. Currently waiting for my 315 duratracs. My question is, will the tire shop who does alignments for $100 (jeeps with lifts) remedy the rubbing against the control arm when fully turning the wheel to the right? Or will they only adjust the alignment so the vehicle runs straight? Not much of a mechanic so I apologize in advance if this is a silly question. Thanks.

When is it rubbing the LCA? If it's only at a full lock (or close to it) then you can adjust the steering stops to keep the tires off of there. The control arms 'should' be in the same position as before the lift, so I would be looking at what else is going on to cause the rub.

As far as the jeep running straight......did you do both front and rear track bars? That's the only place I think that would cause it to track off since you kept the same tires.

Did you install wheel spacers? I believe the stock arms are bent in to avoid this but the RK arms are not. If you are keeping your stock rims you will need spacers especially when you upgrade to the duratracs

I have rk 2.5 max travel kit on my 13 jkur

So taking the JKUR to the alignment shop will fix the alignment but not the rubbing of LCA? Also only rubs at the passenger side on Rt full lock of steering wheel.

The kit was installed with only front track bar, no rear. No spacers installed yet.

You said you adjusted the steering wheel, did you maybe flip it over too far on the one side? That would cause the condition of rubbing at lock only on one side but 'should' also throw a trac/esp/abs light.

Jb could be a good source of info for you.

Also- any measurements to show that your axles are centered up or how close the passenger wheel is to the control arm in relation to the driver's wheel?

I run the RK Max Travel 2.5" lift with 315/70R17 Duratracs on AEV Savegre wheels (4.5" backspacing). I had to add three washers to steering stops on both sides just to get the rubbing manageable. It still rubs on driver's side at full lock. I just try not to do that too often. I think I'd be better off going with a wheel with a little more backspace with a 12.5" wide tire. I think that'd fix my rubbing on the LCA issue without the washers on my steering stops.

I think I rub more on driver's side than passenger's side because my track bar isn't adjusted correctly to center the axle perfectly. I can live with it though. It's less than a 1/2" off.

So it looks like the axel wasn't centered, off by approximately 1inch (inward rt fender). Will adjust trackbar and give updates on the progress. Thanks for the tip guys.

Anyway, here is a pic of the jeep with stock rims on RK 2.5 max travel.

I need to bring the passenger side axel come out the fender more because it appears to be about an inch inward, like cause of LCA rubbing. Do I adjust the the trackbar at at the axel mount or at the other end of the track bar? Thanks in advance.

I would adjust both ends evenly (I.e have the same number of threads showing). For a 2.5" lift RK recommends the initial TB length to be 32 9/16"
