Default Roadmaster Base plate

Will the baseplates coming off off a 2007 Wrangler fit my 2009 Wrangler X? The numbers are 1428-1 for his baseplate and recommended for mine is 1429-1. He said it will fit my Wrangler if it is not a Rubicon because the Rubicon has a electronic sway bar.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks cppower but I have checked with Roadmaster and they so "no" without any information as to why. The guy selling them say they will fit if it does not have the power sway bar like a Rubicon. Sometimes the mfg. will not tell you everything or the person talking to you does not have access to certain info and will try to sell you something new.

Thanks for your reply.

it is a plate to allow you to set up a tow bar from. roadmaster is the name brand.

as far as i know there is no change in the frame setup or crossmember until 2010. as long as they were both not rubi's you should match up perfect.

i flat tow my jeep with warrior d ring mounts off of my lod stubby bumper with a denton exaliber tow bar. I found it was not much more and easier to just get a bumper with d rings then all those plates and brackets and cutting.

i really like this setup and it works great behind my coach. i would have bought a bumper anyway though. remember you will need a brake controller by law to flat tow it behind anything. i used a smi controller for air brakes of my coach, but you can get a electric version as well. great company and easy install. good luck

Thanks Cody but I bought the towbar not realizing the cost of base plates. Stupid mistake on my park by not doing more researching.

I appreciate your reply.
