Ok I just installed the Rock Hard Skids and now I have a question for the others that has them. fter I installed the Engine/Tranny skid and the Transfer skid di it seem to you that the JK vibrated more because of the rgidity of the frame now due to the skids or is it just me. also had some minor alignment issues with the holes lineing up and not being bent enough but nothing some tightening up and a prybar couldn't fix. the other thing is that in the instructions it says not to remove the gas tank skid but mine is a little bent thanx to URE so some edges protrude beyond the lower sides of the new skids. Should I take a Hammer and beat the side up or just remove it all together? Any info would be great. the only parts to install on it now are the Gas skid and Evap skid as well. then the belly will be brotected.
Hey Mutts -
heres a thread about the RH skid vibes. I know there is at least one more thread/solution on this.
I put the oil skid on and had noticeable vibes. Then added the transfer case skid and they decreased a bunch - now I really only feel it briefly during initial acceleration.
I haven't decided if I'll bend the hanger or install some washers.

I removed my gas tank skid and beat the dents out of it and reinstalled it. Then put the rockhard skid on. Just make sure to run your gas tank down to empty(so the tank is light) and support the plastic gas tank with a strap or friend while removing the stock skid plate. I think the stock skid plate is what supports the plastic gas tank if I remember correctly.
