I put mine in the grass. Foot on track bar with all my weight (240lbs), big screwdriver through eye of adjustable end, adjustable wrench on jam nut and cranked hard... be careful not to scratch your track bar or let the wrench hit you in the 'you know where'. I had to adjust the head a couple of times while cranking down. It was a pain... I really didn't crank it on the Jeep because you can't get the wrench in there.

One other option is to by a crows foot wrench of the correct size and put on your torque wrench. It will fit on the jam nut with the end attached to the control arm bracket on the Jeep. I had a crows foot but it wasn't big enough so that's why I cranked it on the ground.

Having a friend or a vise is also helpful...

Let me know what size and everything you get for the jam nuts and trackbars.

Im thinking of adjusting it as hard as i can and drive it down to 4wheel parts to have them re torque and align at the same time.

When I did mine I had no way to hold then so use a air hammer on the corner of the nut until they didn't move, so far they have never loosened up. It was the easiest way by my self to tighten them.

Yeah i think im just going to tighten as hard as i can and then take it to 4wheelparts to have them torque them down as well as align it the same day. Im just hoping they aren't going to try and charge me a lot.

How much are alignments on our Jeep with adjustable control arms ?

I got the front done yesterday.. I took my time. Roughly 4 1/2 hours. A few bumps but no real issues. Write up to come. Doing the back today. Monday I'll get an alignment and have the track bar bracket burned in. So far. So good.
