Rock Krawler 3.5" X FACTOR MID ARM SYS
I definitely understand your eagerness in getting your lift, but considering your gonna spend many years with it, maybe you shouldn't just complusively go with another brand just because of the lead time. You may regret it later. I have nothing to say negative about Rusty's, but they weren't your first choice.
I don't go off road, only put it in the sand at the North End. Thats another reason why I may try to cancel the order and go with another lift.
Would have been great if the sales guy had gave me that info up front. Lesson learned!

I've already ordered this kit. Problem is that when the rest of my stuff showed up and the lift kit didn't, I started doing some research. That's when I found out about the long lead time in shipping and needing driveshafts and bump stops.

My order was behind as well but that did give me time to do more research, read the instructions 10 times and get any extras that was not explained to me when ordering. Hell it took me a couple calls to the seller to have them ship me the extra parts.
Im curious what's the rush? Or is it the fact that when they say 10 days it should be 10 days. If so I completely understand. I for one hate putting my trust in people's words when they don't own up to their end.

You will still need to get any of the extras with other kits if not more and then possibly not as good quality of lift, maybe more expensive, and still could be waiting again after ordered.

I run a manufacturing plant and completely understand lead times, mishaps, delays in vendor shipments and equipment failures. However, when we tell a customer 10 days, that's what they can expect.
You should do a lot more research on different lifts and what the consequences are if you are able to cancel. I run the 3.5" X factor and love it but its built for serious rock crawling. Beach stuff...Keep your jeep stock height or a minimal lift. No need for the real added clearance. And you don't need 35's or bigger unless you are doing heavy wheeling. Plus, the bigger tires just add to an entire other set of issues that you'll need to worry about in short time like ball joints and steering components.

Seems to be a common issue....was it ever resolved?

To my knowledge, no one that posted in that thread ever had the problem of the coil actually hitting the sway link...even at flex. Mine was much closer on the drivers side vs. the passenger but I never had it make contact and I had mine fully flexed out.
Since my orginal alingment where we had all the arms set to recommended lengths, I have had several more alignments done and actually made adjustments to the arms. Using the recommeded specs, my caster was 2.5 overall. At my next alignments I went to the recommended caster setting by RK which was 4.2 to 4.7 I believe. I am at 4.5 right now and it drives great. The sway link itself actually moved further away from the coil (as mentioned by RK).
The recommeded lenghts provided by any lift compnay should only be used as a guide since so many things affect the actual height gained for each Jeep. Those running stock bumpers are going to sit much higher than advertised height and those that are running heavy bumpers with stingers, powerplant winches, heavy duty sliders, etc...will ultimatley sit lower. You can actually see the difference in the front coils as the top 3 or 4 wraps are heavily compressed on mine vs. a buddy whose are more spread apart due to his factory setup.
Those height differences can be half inch or more so the control arms really need to be fined tuned. This is why I like the adjustable control arm setup over drop brackets that come with AEV. More room to dial in the alignment. It takes time to get it right.
As I mentioned earlier, this lift might not be your best fit based on your intended use. Sure it drives well on the street but I've been in a lot of other JK's (and even ran a different lift before the RK one) that drive "better" than the RK. It's killer off-road and I doubt you will find a short arm lift that flexes as much but it it was me and I was doing mainly street driving with the occasional sand/beach, I'd look for a different setup. Keep it under 2.5" imo.
