Default Rock Krawler or OME Lift ?

Why do you think one of these lifts is better than the other?

Pretty much, i like my Rock Krawler lift. Rides nice with Rubicon shocks.

I hear OME rides super nice and their long travel kit flexes alot. But then again so does RK's Max Travel kit.

I just put in the Rock Krawler 2.5" stock mod lift this past weekend.

I looked at both kits closely when I was researching lifts, and both get great reviews. I went with Rock Krawler because it's made in the US and it seems to be easy to expand if I want to make some changes later on (although the same is probably true for the OME).

I noticed minor differences between the basic kits in terms of what's included and what's extra, but the basic Rock Krawler kit seemed to be a little more comprehensive in that it included an adjustable from track bar and disconnects (the basic OME was springs and shocks). Some vendors offer package deals for the OME, though, so again, it's probably a wash. I got Bilstein shocks and lower control arms in addition to the basic Rock Krawler kit (which doesn't include shocks, although they recommend some).

But like everyone else has said, you can't go wrong with either one.

I run the OME and have been very happy with it. And I am (was) researching a new lift for the JKU I have coming and sure read a lot of good things about both. I'm thinking you can't go wrong with either.
I see you are running a Terraflex now,,, thinking of switching,,, ?

Previous owner put the tereflex kit on and it is just a spacer lift.

I prefer a real lift and want to maximize articulation.

What I have works, but my rig is not a Mall Crawler.

Looking for something that is civil to drive, and articulates well, without going to huge expense of steering or driveshaft mods.

It seems that the OME kit has more stuff, but RK's trackbar relocation bracket is tough as hell so i would trust that.

The coil spring retainers are cheap and so are bumpstops if you get them at the right place.

I do believe that if you go with the hard springs it will give you more of a lift, but the RK gives you the RRD shocks with their kit, which seem to be very good shocks, versus OME twin tube, which are known to both articulate great and ride well.

I guess it comes to the fact of spending an extra $200, or buying an American made product.

This might sound cheesy, but i "Rock Krawler" rolls off the tongue nice than "Old Man Emu" Gotta be worth something.
