Default Rock Krawler Truss

So it turns out I busted my factory axle. So I found a replacement, and was pretty excited because it already had the rock krawler HD LCA mounts, and the rock krawler truss, and had the same gearing I already had (and most important, was dirt cheap!). What I failed to realize was that the truss is designed to work for the 3-link long arm kits. I don't want to/cant afford to go to a long arm, so I want to just buy a new upper control arm bracket, trim the truss, and weld on a new bracket. (the axle is a JK dana 30). Does this sound like an OK plan, and does anyone have any direction in terms of where to get such a bracket and which one to get? Thanks!

You can cut a slice in the truss to put an OEM front upper mount on the passenger side. Don't be afraid...

I think that would be fine. I would buy some control arm tabs from blue torch or something and have those welded on opposed to cutting the stock tabs off your old axle welding those up.

I'm having a hell of a time finding the right bracket. I found a kit by currie thats like 150 bucks, but its for 3" OD tubing. I also found this http://www.4wd.com/Fabrication-Tools...pn=R%2fERE9986 which looks right, but it says its for the tj; not sure if the UCA mount actually changed between years

*edit* and of course now I look like a crazy spammer since this got moved from the fab section. whoops

I like that news! Any pointers in terms of where to look for that bracket? I feel like the factory mount is crazy thin and I'll destroy it cutting it off
