Default Which Rock Rails

Just starting to 'load up' my JK for some summer fun.
Would like to hear from anyone with experience on 'good to better' Rock Rails for the JK - I am not an extream crawler, but enjoy some challenge.

It is a 2 dr 2009 and has the plastic step rails on from Jeep, as I said in my first entry "looking for good to better" not over the top in use or money.

The factory Rubi rock rails are by far the cheapest option (you can usually find them for around $200) and are generally considered quite durable. They look sharp too.

If you go aftermarket, the LODs have always struck me as handsome and a good value.

If you want to go tub mount the Purejeep formed rockers are the strongest on the market. You will not hurt these or your jeep,

There is also some very good frame mounted ones on the market

I have the LoD's , frame mounted. I have no regrets, but they are top dollar. $650. for the 2-door size. Might be more than you want to spend.

The riveraider mounts with nutserts and straps to the body mounts,

nutserts mounted to thin metal is not a strong mount.

The purejeep mount only to the tub and we use steel sleeves to tie all 4 layers of the JK together. Now we do have a two spots with nutserts, there was just no way to use the sleeves with the seatbelt mounts in the way. The other 5 holes are the crush sleeves. The rocker completely cover the bottom of the tub and also mounts to the bottom with two bolts.

When I'm not on my phone I'll post some pictures

Free shipping on Purejeep, contact him in the forum or by calling in.
