Default Rock rails/steps

Good afternoon everyone. I'm relatively new to the JK mod world and I'm seeking the expertise of the members. I'm looking for triple threat JKU rock rails. 1. rock coverage/protection for the occasional off trail adventure 2. Good step for little dudes to get into and out of the rig and 3. Road debris deflection. I currently have a modest lift with 285 70R17 terra grapplers(stock rims/no spacers so tires are still completely covered by stock fender flares) and the OEM mud flaps. It's a black rig and I find myself constantly buffing out gouges and scratches. If anyone knows if such a creature exists that can satisfy these needs I would love to hear about. Thanks for the help! Cheers!

For excellent protecti and a good step i suggest Ace engineering rock sliders(340$ new off their website) over a set of OEM Rubicon rock rails(you can get a set of these off this forum or Craigslist). I just got this setup last night. I'll send pics of my rig with just the ace sliders and later today with both instslled (I have to go to Ace for some hardware since the rubi rails I got was missing).

I run rockhard sliders:

Rock Hard JK Wrangler Rocker Guards 2-Door w/Smooth Plate

Might be a little over the top for what you are talking about doing. These, unlike the Ace rails don't have slots in them where road and trail debris can't get through. The rockhard units also go down to the frame with boat sides so you don't BANG on the rails that bad.

If you wan't something that provides a step you may consider this:

Rock Slide Engineering Step Slider - Power Running Board - Electric Steps & Running Boards - Side Steps & Running Boards - by Trans American Wholesale

A company called AMP also provides a product. Have no information or experience on either of these components.

I personally would not put ACE sliders on my vehicle for a number of reasons. If I was looking for a slider that has a step I'll probably go LOD, shorckworks, or white knuckle.

Check out LoD's website. Their rock rails/steps are pretty nice.

LOD makes good stuff! I have their sliders and they have a non-slip step. Very well made!

Thank you all for the responses! I've got some research to do on the recommended products!
