Ace rock rails. I have heard they fit right over the rubis.

Here is a side profile
I would appreciate that!

Ace are great from everything I've seen & heard. I went with poison spyder brawler rockers they've been great so far. You could also go with the poison spyder brawler rockers they have the same look as the ones you posted

Check out Shrockworks. They are frame mounted and strong as hell! Great people too! Made in Houston, I went to the factory to pick mine up and was very impressed with these guys.

It took 3 days for it to crack the same weld my first one did and start dumping rusty water all over the bumper. After that I asked for a refund of the swing arm cost and kept the bumper.

I had ace rails originally and they flexed into my pinch seam. When I dropped onto a rock.

Personally I wouldn't put anything that isn't frame mounted on my jeep. If I was going to do it again I would get LOD.
Sorry you had bad luck, I've had my rails for 6 or 7 months but the bumper/carrier is new, so I should look hard for cracks? What size wheels/tires are you using?

Agreed they have to be frame mounted. Also im they need to stick out a bit or when your off camber you can hit the body. Also helps when using your slider to pivot around rocks.

I think you meant the rocker knockers? Either way....

Quoting myself for emphasis.

Direct body mount (boatside) are usually very high clearance, but are only as stong as the surface they attach to, and the factory sheet metal isnt all that strong.

FWIW I went with body mounted (boat side) Poison Spider Brawlers for the highest clearance possible. I have buckled my rocker panel in two spots since and dented the slider itself.

I was running a 315/75/16 Toyo MT. My wheel and tire combo was about 95-100lbs. The current version of the tire carrier looks nothing like the one I bought a year ago so I can't tell you what changes they have made since then. All I know is I ended up with about 150lbs of scrap steel and a very poor opinion of Ace.

As far as the rails go, I guarantee that if you come down hard enough on them they will flex into the pinch seam. If you have rubi rails on with them I would guess it would push the rubi rail into the body. For my money I want rock sliders that do what they are meant to do... Protect the jeep. Body mounted sliders are great for a step and sliding on stuff but if you start pushing your jeep its only a matter of time before you come down hard on something.

That's right...make your own. I just recently went to Offroad Evolution in Fullerton and looked at their sliders, measured them, photo'd them and am now in the process of making them. Then, I can make them to my exact specs etc. With all the steel it comes to about 250 bucks in materials....welded by me. I'm having a ball making them. Gives some pride in not just buying a set but being involved in some fabrication.

I don't work for them or anything but for the moderate rock climbing I've done, the Ace products have impressed me with their fit and finish and they are great to deal with on the phone, for my front bumper FedEx mashed the box and none of the nuts and bolts made it to my local 4x4 shop and they rushed the lost/missing parts right away.

Matthew, since you went with the Evo products for skid plates underneath, I'm just curious why you didn't decide to go with the Evo rock sliders?
