Without having to powdercoat 5 wheels, does anyone have any suggestions on how to cover up some rock rash?

Im guessing they are alloy wheels since you are talking about powder coating. Just sand them down and hit them with them with some spray paint.

 

Why worry about it? Embrace the rash!

 

I wouldn't care but I just put them on my 2012 and they are the slightly used rims and tires off my 2010 lol. Thanks for the ideas guys. Im thinking the touchup paint route

I do the spray paint route after lots on rash of the wheels, but that is pretty rare for the centers. However my beadlock rings....Well I embrace the battle damage. Also, while wheeling with the Discount Tire's Hemi Powered Trail Rig, I was noticing at the end of each day the pilot and/or co-pilot of the JK would touch up their wheels with a Sharpie Paint Pen. I thought that was a pretty inexpensive, on-the-go technique to keep a serious, hard duty use rig looking like a trailer queen

Nothing wrong with that!! I never intentionally try to get desert pinstriping, rock rash and the likes, but its going to happen. The funny thing is that on a trail, I will pick the hardest lines and except the fact body damage could happen (or even worse), but when I am around town, I avoid driving my rig in the rain (fortunately easy to do in AZ) and absolutely avoid water puddles from all the sprinkler systems. I HATE water spots on my vehicles. My wife thinks I am insane
