Post rock slider advice

I'm about to remove the stock running boards from the JK. Want to replace them with a rock slider type rail to gain protection. Also need tp have some sort of step to enable my wife with bad knees to get into the Jeep. Don't need anything really heavy duty as our wheeling is mostly dirt trails. Hopeing for a no drill installation. Any advice is appreciated.

Not sure what your budget is, but LOD and ORE have some bomber rock rails that can be welded to the frame. That's the route I'm going!

Thanks for the pics Matador. That shows me what they would like on mine as it is a Red Rock Sahara with 33's and a 3" lift. How well do the XRC's work as a step? How was the install and have you had any issues with them bending?

They work as a step when you are raising and lowering the top....it's a small ledge but it helps. The install was kind of a PITA ...they give you small nuts and bolts that go through the pinch seam and there is not a lot of room to get them in.....you will want to use needlenose pliers and someone recommended using some tape to hold the nuts in place while you thread the bolts.

I had the SRC ones before and they flexed........make sure you get the XRC.....they are designed way better and hold up. I have come down on them pretty hard and they have held up amazing!

I have Hansons. Step works good for my wife. She says the step is a little small but it is a true step. I have seen then bend before. And since they are mounted to the body, if they bend the body needs work. I beat the crap out of mine, and so far so good. Just have to get them painted every year. I also put some LED lights in there. My wife was having a hard time finding the steps in the dark. I'll go find some pics and post them up

Hanson Offroad was just on the Rubicon trail with me a weekend ago. His rockers took a good beating and no issues.

Question

I don't think the XRC is enough of a step for what is needed. Does anyone have the SCR Classic with step?
