Default Rock slider help. JKU e-autogrilles

I recently purchased rock sliders for my jku, and they came without instructions. A quick look on YouTube, and it seems I detach the tub from the frame, cut down the spacer (3/16ths) slip in the bracket attached to the rails, then mark the location of the rivnuts, punch, drill, remove the rails, set the rivnets and reinstall. Could I skip cutting down the tub-to-frame spacer? Wouldn't this just be like doing a slight body lift if I left the spacer full size? Does anyone have experience installing rails? Do I have to buy a rivnut tool to install the rivnuts? Any tips or tricks? What would this run to be professionally installed? Thanks in advance.
