Default Rockridge4wd LED Tail Light Conversion Kit?

I really love the look of the low profile LED taillights. Looking for feedback from anyone running this product.

http://www.rockridge4wd.com/ROCKRIDG...-p/rr-5002.htm

One major question I have is that listed in the options is the "chassis to LED Adapter Harness". What does this do?

Also curious how those tiny LED backup lights work in comparison to the OEM backups.

Thanks!

I have a busted taillight and have been wanting to replace it with these. Hopefully somebody has some real world experience

No experience, but my guess would be a pigtail that matches the factory wiring so it would just plug in, just my guess though. I also like the simplicity of the design, it eliminates an extra light to smash against a tree.

Thanks guys after looking all over their website I finally found that the harness is a pigtail for the lights so you don't have to cut your stock taillight wiring.

Nobody running these that could provide some feedback on lighting/ease of install/etc?

I would think you'd be more concerned about cutting metal than wiring. There is a guy on another forum running these and when I asked him he said he loved them. I won't be near a PC until tonight but I'll try and find who that was.

I free cut mine while just looking at the cutting template. I would suggest using the template. I'm happy I did them, much cleaner look. The reverse lights are brighter than stock in a smaller package and as for the plug kit, idk I had to cut and slice which isn't bad compared to the cutting

Default Just installed

I had a friend install them as he is good with trimming metal etc. he did a great job. Lights look great. The back up led is very bright. Hard to look at and brighter than stock. He wasn't sure about cutting the factory harness on a 2014 rubi so I have a dbl flash blinker right now. We will ad the resistors this weekend. Really nice product. I purchased from off road elements got a good deal. J

I have these and really like them, the reverse lights are much brighter and I very much enjoy the flush look. The hardest part was pushing the round light into the round gasket, had to sandpaper the edge of the light to make it fit, a very tight fit. I need to get back in there and clean up my wiring as my load resistors are dangling and the splices aren't done the way I want, but it was cold and late by the time we got done lol.

I have since added the evo rear fascia and I like the clean back end look now.
