I've been talking to one of our vendors in the gun industry who does custom wraps about doing a custom cage cover once I get my cage finished.

It will have a faux carbon fiber look with custom embroidery done into it.

I have the Bestop covers and they are worth the money in both durability and looks.

heres about the best photo capturing views of the coverring.Click image for larger version

Looks like a family outing! Great photo. Your JK looks awesome.

You've made me think about those covers some more. I doubt I could come up with anything better.
It looks like you leave the roll bar and plastic intact and just replace the outer cover.

I just ordered the rear cargo net from Dirty Dog 4x4. I hope to do something with the roll bar covering soon.

Thanks for the replies

friend of mine painted his last week. I wasn't sure how id like it without the padding, I thought it would look to thin and even cheap but it turned out great. I'm thinking of doing mine now lol

you inspired me with your compliments.
sorry for the dirty pics but I have not detailed the interior since last week's muddy wheeling with top off.

It is very thick (1/4") neoprene with good durability and washes up easy, shines with some Bestop top cleaner or glass plus cleaner.

Ok, I thought it was made from the same material as the cloth top, that's what it said on the Quadratec site (?). Neoprene would be good.

How much modification to the covering did you have to do when you installed the extra roll bar re-enforcing?
That's yet another mod on my list. I like the Or-Fab sport bar kit.

Not too much. The front just got rolled back a bit and cut a slot in the rear to slide rear brace through.

I don't understand putting chunks of plastic underneath a zip-on cover to give the roll bar a different shape.

I'm thinking about doing something else. Beside the cheap cloth stuff is fading and starting to look crappy.

Anyone done anything with their roll bar covers?

Ideas?
I was going to suggest spraying them with fabric dye, but with us living in Texas the sun will always be an issue. I am just going to take mine off and bedline them.

I hated the faded padding so I took mine off and bedlined the roll bars.
