Default Roof Rack

I'm looking at putting a basket style rack on my Jeep. Does anyone have this unit on their JK? http://www.quadratec.com/products/12041_3001.htm

I want something for camping, I currently have a mattress for the back of my Jeep for sleeping and take all my camping gear inside. I want to be able to put stuff on the rack but not sure if this unit is the way to go. I want to be able to take the freedom top panels off so that's why this one is appealing to me. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?

Thanks in advance.

If you want a rack for just with the hardtop, then also take a look at the MBRP. It accepts various other manufacturer's accessories (Thule, etc), but they do offer a basket. Available on Amazon and free shipping ...

amazon.com/MBRP-130717-Black-Coated-System/dp/B00261OZM0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1300480227&sr= 8-2

amazon.com/130822-Black-Coated-Cargo-Basket/dp/B002S43P26/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1300480227&sr= 8-5

There's also a front extension, if you need more space up top. If you want to patronize a forum sponsor (a worthy thing), check out Amazon's offer, then give Quadratec a call and negotiate.

I've got the Kargo cage and matching rack. Works great for me.

I have a Garvin Track Rack. Does not interfere with to front tops.

So what do you think about it. Its the perfect size for my camping gear...not too big, not too small. the price is right, just curious about your thoughts of it

About the same as you. It's about the right size for our gear and doesn't sit up too high for the garage.

Well, I already don't fit in the garage, lol, but is it nice and secure at say, highway speeds? Sturdy loaded down on the trail?
