Default Roof rack and rag top

Looking for a roof rack for my 2-door JK. I'd like one that uses existing bolts so I don't have to drill new holes. Would be great if it could easily open to put the top down too. Saw some online, but most talk about drilling holes in the back bumper and I really don't want to have to do that.

I have the freedom top now but will be looking for a rag top after winter. Any advice on that would be helpful too. I assume I'll need to have the mechanics/frame and everything installed since its a hard top now (not a dual top).

I'm new to the group and to Wranglers. Really glad I found this forum!

Bob

I've looked at these as well, and like putting a rack on my tj you will need to drill a hole or two in the back.
Look hard at the soft top you choose, you can get one that does't need a "frame" it straps to the roll cage.
It will be a pain to "prop" up most cages just to put the top down and may require unbolting something.

Have fun looking there are A LOT of options.

No drills
And there are also other solutions as well without drilling. I do recommend a lower rack as possible to prevent noise on highway.have a look/search here for "roof rack" as well.
Enjoy!

I've been using the Gobi rack system for 3 years now and truly believe it is one of the best.

Hey Bob,

I am currently putting a soft top on my hard top JK. I am waiting for some things to come in the mail right now: once they are in I plan and making a very detailed write-ip with many pictures on the conversion. I know finding all the info in one spot on how it's done is diffucilt.
