ROOF RACKS help!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUY THE GOBI!!! I have the Cargo Master Kongo Cage... and I wish I bought the Gobi. Gobi has quick disconnects for easy top movement and requires no drilling in the body. Do it... you won't regret it.

Pics of my Kongo Cage:

I've got a KargoMaster Congo Cage (and huge rack!). No drilling! Newer ones have a slightly different leg shape at the rear but there ya go.
Tonight I decided to put to top back up for the supposed storm - we'll see (hurricane Earl is scheduled to visit tomorrow). Not convinced but that's beside the point.
Having a big rack is nice and all but it gets in the way sometimes. Putting the top up and down is one of those times. Lifting it up manually and holding it while someone else fight with the top is no fun. Did it once, and as a lazy bugger I decided not to do that any more. lol
So - I thought about all sorts of things to lift it mechanically: pneumatic cylinders were my favourite idea, but a second (rear) winch and many other ideas filled my head. Problem with dreamers like me is that there's no money to make any of it work.
So - I decided to try something FREE and simple. Perfect for a broke lazy guy.
What do you think?

Tow strap to the wife's truck, 4-low, slip the clutch a little to creep forward and viola a simple lever. You have to undo 2 bolts at the windshield brackets. Total no-brainer as long as you have a strap (you *DO* have a strap, right?) and something to attach it to: wife's truck, telephone pole, boss, etc.
Time left over for a beer!

That is a very nice roof rack why do you have a Rubicon and an X decal?[/QUOTE]
Long story short..... By buddy works at the dealership, when my wife wrecked the hood they hooked me up with this and some little extras. Long story.
Good eye. Very good. Lots of people miss that one.

^^ I noticed the 2 stickers but didn't want to go there...LOL as for your rack I like it only thing that bothers me is why did you make it so high off of the vehicle? that's gotta put a huge drain on your mileage and the noise must be pretty loud too.
As for racks I never use one in the summer so the best option for me and the strongest rack made, capable of holding over 1000lbs is the MBRP rack. It's awesome you can remove the Freedom Panels with it on easily and then for the Summer you have a buddy or two help pull the Hard top off and your good to go.

Summer time with just the lightbar
