Default rotopax tire mount

anyone have any experience with these?

http: //www.rotopax.com/Rock-Slide.html

my tire carrier doesnt have provisions for any rotopax tanks, and this looks like a good option. my only concern would be the strap coming loose and then the whole thing falling off the spare tire.

i did a couple of searches but couldnt find anything, so dont shoot me.

I heard it's solid. Almost got one a while ago but am making my own jerry can mount now. If it fails I will probably buy this.

Another firm made a very similar spare tire holder a while back, with bracket for a regular sized 5gal jerry can. If someone else here can remember the manufacturer you can do a search. I recall the worry was theft, not the product itself.

Have you seen this one?

With the Rotopax on the bolt should be innaccessible. Also easy to remove when you don't need it

I have the full expo rack from R-SE and it mounts the same way. To date it has never came loose. As a mater of fact I just finished mounting two more RotopaX on the rack tonight. Now I have 4 gallons of fuel and 4 gallons of water mounted. I have a week of wheeling in CO/UT coming up in 17 days and I'll report back if I have any issues.
