Default rough country drop brackets

Been procrastinating about installing these. How simple is the install? Do I need to lift the jeep or can I just leave it on the ground and do 1 side at a time?

No ... The jeep needs to stay on the ground just like if you were doing a lift.
One side at a time. I had to manipulate one tire and hold chuck to line up the passenger holes. 2 people its easier.
Overall it's a pretty easy job. Just make sure the bolts are torqued properly.

8 hours and 42 pulled muscles later, I finally finished the install. Over torqued one of the supplied 14mm bolts and snapped it so used one of the originals on the passenger side, but all in all, a good install. Definitely feel a difference in the handling.
